We have heard about this place for years and finally tried it. It was so good! We got the carne asada, shrimp, pastor tacos and two burritos. We got our order to go because it was very busy inside.

Five stars for the food- easy. The Al pastor is some of the best I've ever had and I love taking friends and family here. BUT the service quality depends on who is running the register. The last two times I've been there, the girl at the register was beyond rude. I mean it, beyond rude. When I've been waited on by other people, they will sub flour tortillas for the tacos since I'm allergic to corn- not this lady! (She's done this to me twice, all other times I've been given flour so they only don't have it when she works, weird). Another trip she asked the other person I was with: is that all you're going to order? I think customer service goes a long way. If I wasn't a devoted patron of this place, I probably wouldn't come back after having my last two interactions feel so tense and negative. As a woman I hate saying this, but she should smile more and learn some basic people skills- you're in a customer facing role.

This place is definitely my top taco spot in Phoenix. When walking in, it looks like a typical taco place but on top of the tacos, they got a full bar and a couple of tvs to watch sports on. The staff are very friendly and you get your food very quickly. When it comes to the tacos, they have a lot of different varieties of meat that all taste fresh and juicy. My favorite are their pastor, pollo, and taco chiwas tacos. And you get pretty solid portions too so you don't feel hungry. I would say you probably only need 3-4 tacos and you'll be good after that.

Tacos Chiwas...yes, yes, I saw this on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, so I was in the area and thought, why not!?! Already impressed driving up here as they had a partially covered parking lot! Big plus in this scorching heat. As you walk in, you are greeted with their upbeat dance house music. They have a bar inside with tequila, on tap draft beer. They are short-staffed, so you order at the front, then pay, get your order number, and then find your table. Multiple tvs playing professional sports (MLB). A bit loud inside to be able to carry on a conversation. They have a patio area for outside dining and also mostly inside dining. The servers are friendly and welcoming! Gordita (Flour) - Deshebrada Roja: Red Chile Shredded Beef, Potatoes, Beans (3.5/5). The beef and potatoes were flavorful, spicy, and tender. Parts of the gordita were firm/dense/tough. I appreciated that it was house-made. Tacos (Handmade Corn Tortillas) Pastor: Marinated Pork, Cilantro, White Onions (4/5). It was very tasty, nicely marinated. I would get this again in a heartbeat. Tripas: Beef Tripe, Cilantro, White Onions (4/5). I liked that they deep-fried it, but some pieces were pretty dry. Otherwise, it was good. Both corn tortillas were cool, not warmed on the flat top. Horchata (4/5) - smooth, not chalky. You could enjoy the rice and cinnamon! They have a self-serve sauce bar, which they also have the pickled carrot, jalapeƱo, onion. Overall, experience 3.5 stars. Congratulations for being in business here in Phoenix for 8 years!!!
